windows partition

my windows has ntfs format
so i am unable to access windows from fedora5
i tried installing some ntfs linux driver
but unsuccessful attempt
probably i am installing the wrong package
please send me link/commands/ntfs driver package name
i have a intel based P4 computer

whats ur kernel? 2.6.x has got ntfs read/write support!!

kernel version

to find out kernel version i used command uname -r
the output is 2.6.15-1.2054_FC5smp

the command mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/win doesnt work

it says ntfs unknown file system
i read in this site that u need to install a ntfs linux driver from but that too doent help me
i think i am installing the wrong package
please help

To get a reliable ntfs write support, you should use the g3 ntfs write driver. check that out

check out here for ntfs-3g
