Windows no boot after install

I'm installing Linspire and I had to get PartitionMagic8 from PowerQuest which works nicely for partitioning and so I installed Linspire. I already had one primary partition for the windows installation. So I set up another for the Linux and one swap. I installed and got a "Cannot mount" error but the OS still runs. (I'm using that now). But when I tried to boot Windows the programs for checking the disk could not be found. I have backed up any stuff I would need if the install happened to break but I want to know if there's any way to save if. I've also tried popping in the Windows install disk but all I get is a blank screen. Thank you so much in advance. I'm a n00b. :P
