windows manager...


Ive just installed mandrake in a VMWare environment. I need to run linux in a text environment (without the X windows system) but I cant figure out how to do that...and also how do I change it back (assuming somehting gets changed).

Anyone care to enlighen me?

You need to edit /etc/inittab.
You should have a line that reads:
id:5:initdefault

Change the 5 to a 3 and then reboot.
