Windows DOS games

Is it possible to play old DOS games made for Windows on Linux? I tryed using Wine but my screen messes up and weird things happen.

Wine is rather for Windows programs, not DOS. You may try dosemu (included in many distributions). It emulates the whole DOS session. Results (in my case) were very good.

I use dosbox. Dosbox is ported for many systems including
windows. It slows the computer down as many new computers
run too fast for old dos games. Dosbox is a true emulator,
in Linux it uses the sdl library.

ScummVM is an emulator for a particular breed of older games. I'm not sure entirely which ones it supports but if your game is on the list then it'd probably go a bit better than a generic emulator such as dosbox :)
