Windows Domain Authentication with RedHat ED5

As a Linux newbie I am hoping someone can offer me straight forward info on Windows AD authentication with Redhat Enterprise desktop 5.

I have a Suse 10 system already working which was extremely simple and straight forward but am unable to get RedHat working.

I have joined the domain and can browse and connect to shares but need to be able to login and authenticate like I do on Windows boxes.

Any help is appreciated
