Winbad 2000 boot question

I recently obtained a new hard drive on which I wanted Redhat 9 and Windows 2000 pro installed. I installed RH9 first then Winbad 2000 and of course Windows raped grub and wouldnt allow me to boot from my linux partition. So I overwrote the first sector of the boot partition with grub and it gave me a Windows error message. I reinstalled all of RH9 and put grub on the MBR this time. Grub comes up fine and boots RH9 fine but Windows gives me the same error:
the following file is missing or incomplete
<windows 200 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

It is usually advisable to install windows and then Linux on dual boot machines. Windows is a bit of a primadonna and likes to think it is the only operating system whereas linux could care less and accomodates Windows. If you haven't done much work on eaither OS yet, I would reinstall them in this order and all should work fine.

I would do that, but I no longer have acess to the windows 2k disk. There has to be a way to put that file back in there. I also have a few things installed on that partition that I wish to keep.

Is there any way I could reinstall ntldr on the mbr and/or the first sector of the boot partition without reinstalling 2000?
