WIN4LIN VS VMWARE player,server ?
I want to install windows in virtual merchine under linux
Shall I pick win4lin or vmware player,server?
I don't want to buy vmware workstation because it's so expensive.
I want to convert my Norton ghost image files into vm!

Give Virtual Box a try. There's a GPL version (although without some of the extra tools you get with a different license). It performs pretty well, and it's quite easy to use.
If you use Ubuntu, it's even in the repositories, so it's very easy to install. You might have to log out and back in again before you can use it.

Can It convert my Norton ghost 12.0 disk images into Virtual Machine ?
Can it offer backup,snapshot features ?
virtual networks ?

I'm not sure about all those. My own usage patterns are pretty simple, and I don't need backups / snapshots. You can do networking.
