will my ipod work?
 
i have an ipod shuffle and i want to get an itunes acount but i do not know if my ipod is compatible with arch linux.
and i do not know if this will affect it but i don't think i have working sound card.

Here is a link to the gtkpod arch package:
http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/gtkpod/

Your ipod should work with that.
I have used it on a shuffle in Lubuntu and it works fine.
However, I do not believe that you will be to use an itunes account with gtkpod.

If you are interested in setting up an itunes account and using itunes on linux, it may work in wine, but I don't personally have experience with that.
