Question Will hardware not on HCL work?

I am looking to build a system to load Red Hat v7.2. This is my first experience with Linux EVER!

I want to use parts I found on TigerDirect.com, but none of the parts I want are on the Red Hat HCL.

If I buy them, will they work?

If not, can someone recommend me a site where I can go to buy Linux compatible hardware? What do you folks use?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What is it a triple/quadro post? Please obey the rules no more than a single post here.

Just to clarify, its a single post for the same question. That wouldn't be no fun if you could only post once..

I'm still wondering why he asked the question in LFS forum.. clearly doesn't belong there.

There are a lot of better places to get parts than TigerDirect.Try :
www.newegg.com
www.compgeeks.com
to name just a few.
Components not found on the HCL have been known to work. The HCL is just a reliable source for info on hardware compatibility.HTH
