WIFI problem in RHEL 5
 
hello everyone!!!

actually i have just started using RHEL 5 just a few days before.after googling a much i was able to install the nvidia graphics but still now i have the problem with the sound and wifi.?

how to get those kernels and from where?
i have a intel 3945 wireless card.....
pls do help me...

and about the sound too...

if u can just tell me from where can i get the tutorials based on RHEL 5?

Please spell out your words....

You don't need "kernels", but kernel modules. The nVidia graphics are very easy to install, both from RedHat and directly from the nVidia site, so what problems did you have installing it??

And what 'tutorials' do you need for RedHat?? There are lots of programs supported under Linux...what are you having problems with?

If you're a brand new user, I'd suggest calling RedHat support...you're using RedHat enterprise, so you're paying for support with your subscription. If you're NOT paying for it, remove it, and load CentOS. RedHat Enterprise is geared more towards servers, while CentOS has a more robust 'end-user' hardware support database, right out of the box. Loading it may solve all your problems...
