wifi and changing networks

RH9, Prism Based Wifi with hostap for a driver.

Nightly I lug my laptop home and to switch between networks I first have to wait for the card to time out. (can be very long) or do Interactive setup (doubly annoying)

Then I must go to /etc/network/network-script and edit wlan0 manually to reflect the essid change and wep key change. Then I have to hit /etc resolv.conf to program the correct dns server.

The process repeats when I go back to work. It's pretty annoying.

Is there a better way?
