not able to get my wifi working with mandriva 2010, using lenovo netbook S10e ideapad

Seems like a lot have your troubles.

google on BCM2046 and linux. But the short QA is Q: has anyone gotten this card to work? A: yes. So perhaps you can too. That particular bug report which works on my system says that it broke during an ubuntu upgrade. Since there's a version after that one now, perhaps it's fixed again in that version. So sure, give another distro a try. What's the worst that can happen? All of your devices start to work?
