wich linux ...?


hi, i am new at this so i need some help with wich program is better or recomended for home use (email,internet,wireless,webcam,music downloads)

redhat fedora.
xubuntu.
linux.

or are they all the same.

They are all the same in the sense that they are all different flavours of Linux. For the *newbie* I recommend either Ubuntu or Kubuntu, these are aimed towards the new user and will fulfill your requirements. They can both be used from cd without the need to install, when you are comfortable enough using it you can then do the install (or you can just jump straight in and install if you wish) with the aid of the installation wizard.

Do remember this is only my suggestion and not a definitive choice of which Distribution of Linux you are able to install.
