Which files contain IP and host information in SuSe?

Possibly /etc/hosts, /etc/HOSTNAME ... but not sure in SuSe.

I know that in RH9, you can enter IFCONFIG .
It displays network information on your linux machine, including IP addressing and hostnames.

You will find your IP settings in /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth0 for your main NIC.
If you are using DHCP however this will not display much usefull info.
