Hello guys,
I'm trying to execute Wicd Network Manager, but it do not want to start. but with live cd it works fine... whats the problema? how can i fix it? im using backtrack 5 r3

You don't tell us much, such as how you are trying to start wicd.
The command to start the GUI interface is wicd-client. What happens when you run that command from a terminal?
$ gksu wicd-gtk
Has notifications support True
Loading...
Connecting to daemon...
Connected.
displaytray True
Done loading.
refreshing...
ESSID : xxx_xxxx
make sure what shows in ifconfig -a as a wireless interface is filled in in wicd preferences>wireless interface box. Then hit the refresh button. My command above
only works if the wicd gui is installed. wicd-client works also. I just used root
in case wicd does not start for you in Back Track because of permission issues.
