Wi-Fi connection problems with Acer Aspire One running Linpus Lite Linux
I have recently bought an Acer machine using the Linpus Lite software and, for a few days, all was well and I was well impressed. I updated the machine with all the latest patches, etc, shut down, and that was that. On re-booting it simply refused to set up the wi-fi connection, despite repeated attemps on the connection manager. It recognises only the LAN connection. I have tried resetting the netbook using F2 & F9 etc but to no avail. I will be grateful to anyone who can advise me if anything else be done to reset the netbook short of a complete re-boot?

Did you accidentally turn off the wireless using the switch on the front of the netbook ?
I think I screwed around with the wireless for an hour before I realized it wasn't switched on... :-/ |
Thanks for your reply to my query, I wish that it was that easy! I have checked everything that can be done on the netbook as it is. My next step is to aquire an external DVD player to plug in so that I can reboot the whole thing with the disc provided. I am hoping this will sort things out!

could you post the output of lsmod ? you need to run that from a command prompt.
