Unhappy Wi-fi

I have Linux Linpus-Lite on my Acer Aspire One. Internet worked fine until my grandson did heaven knows what and I now have no connection with my wireless modem. The light indicating that the computer is getting a signal is not on, but I know the modem is working because my other computer is getting it loud and clear. It seems as though the wireless receiver on the computer has been disabled. How can I get a signal again?

Check to see if there are any little pushbuttons on the computer
that turns wifi on and off. A lot of laptops have the option to
manually turn off wifi to extent the battery life. It may have
been tapped accidentally.

Q: Where is the wireless switch on acer aspire one?
A: Should be on front right hand side, right below icon of wifi and then make sure you restart your computer.
