why people use ext2 in their /boot partition?

Does that makes the computer boots faster?

not really,,, ext2 tends to be faster than ext3 but less safe. but since the /boot partiton is very rarely written to, its no problem.

i didnt know people did use ext2 for boot anyways. i dont even have a boot partiton.
