Smile why ll list only *.mkv.

I must say sorry to friends from linux question..

I just asked a stupid question.I finally found out why I can't get the result I want.

Here's my question
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 288117821 2010-10-26 17:02 Friends - S02E24 - NTSC DVD DD2.0 x264 MMI.mkv
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 34269 2010-10-26 16:58 Friends - S02E24 - NTSC DVD DD2.0 X264 MMI.srt

# ll Friends\ -\ S02E24\ -\ NTSC\ DVD\ DD2.0\ x*
-rwxrwxrwx. 1 root root 288117821 2010-10-26 17:02 Friends - S02E24 - NTSC DVD DD2.0 x264 MMI.mkv

It list just *.mkv.Because I mistook the letter "X" with "x".
It's a problem of case sensitivity...
So stupid I am..

Maybe non space white space in the file name.

How to check it:
ls Friends* > out.dump
od -c out.dump

Yes please - Nylex is right; please restore your original post, and perhaps add a link to where you located the solution. This would be most beneficial to the community as a whole. P.S. - don't forget to put the thread title back!

Thanks!

Why are you calling yourself stupid so much?

Anyway, since I see that this is solved, mark the thread as solved.
