Why it not know files were in the directory?

This is a bit silly but just wondered what it might mean.

I had just loop mounted an .iso file into the directory ~/Loop, i.e. /home/lugo/Loop
Code:
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ ls
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ ls
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ ls ~/Loop
xaa xab xac xad xae
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ ls
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ cd
lugo@fido:~$ cd Loop
/home/lugo/Loop
lugo@fido:~/Loop$ ls
xaa xab xac xad xae
mplayer could not see the files iether.

If you are in the directory you mounted the fs to, you must re-cd to it because you are located on the old tree. A new inode has been created since then.
