why is my music fuzzy?

hi everyone its me again redhat 7.3 kde3

this is my problem
if i start to listen to an mp3 roughly about 9 times out of 10 it starts out perfectly fine
but then for no reason it gets fuzzy usually about halfway through the song
i don't know what it is thats causing this but its preventing me from listening to mp3s and its pissing me off quite a bit
does anyone know what it is or how to fix it plz? :/

if your using xmms, try changing the sound driver from the dropdown list in the xmms preferences and see if that gives you any luck.
