Why i m not being able to create repository using createrepo command in yum?
Hi all , while creating repository using createrepo command i m getting error something like this .. import createrepo, import deltarpms , import deltarpm , no module name deltarpm .. Prior to this .. i think i have done all necessary steps correctly.

Hi sunilchand,
With virtually every question you ask on LQ, it's best to include your distro (and version). That will allow people to help you more effectively.

Sorry sunilchand, but you were asked for your distro (and version), and the steps that you had taken (commands you had issued etc.) prior to the error.
If you can provide this information, and also paste here the exact error output you are experiencing, then someone might be able to help you.
You need to help us so that we can help you.

I am using Red hat enterprise Linux 6.4. I have followed following steps like copying the packages and repodat folder from DVD to /var/ftp/pub folder and then I have created a repo file in /etc/yum.repos.d/first.repo. Like baseurl= ftp://192.168.0.110/pub enabled=1 gpgcheck=0 Then I have typed the command createrepo -v /var/ftp/pub for creating repository.
