Why does it work in RH and does not in Mandrake?

Hi People...
My Canonscan N656 was working fine in RH9, the system recognized the scanner as the exact one and not an aproximation, and now in Mandrake doesn't even come up in the list of scanners. How can I solve this problem?

Make sure that you have usb-scanner compiled into your kernel and loaded at boot.
