As far as I know, there's no gui for changing mouse in Slackware. You have to hand edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, which is the main config file for xserver.

Here's how my mouse config section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. I have an Logitech's cordless optical trackman mouse.
Code:
Section "InputDevice"

# Identifier and driver
    Identifier	"Mouse1"
    Driver	"mouse"
    Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
    Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
    Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
    Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
If you want some interactive experience, try out following command
Code:
pkgtool
Check out various options there. You can use pkgtool to add/remove software and change some setup configuration.

You have to execute pkgtool as root.

Tux,
