Why did Konqueror take Over My Windows?

I am currently using KDE, and I used to have that cool windows browser thing, where you could zoom in and out, sort, do "view all" commands by right clicking, and all that other stuff. However, now Konqueror is opening all the time when I click on the "home" icon on my desktop. Not that I mind Konqueror, but I can't see all my files (the hidden ones, for example), I can't do sorts, zooming capabilities, or anything! Why did this happen, and how do I get my old window browser back? I don't know what it was, so if somebody could tell me that, too, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks =)

What might of happened is you've over written you filebrowsing profile with webrowsing.

Konq was also what you opened before when you clicked on home. Just know its opening as a Webbrowser instead of a file manager. Open Home again, and select settings->load view profile. and select filemanagement. Theirs also other stuff under view you can select.

If its still showing the wrong things. type file:/home/username/ into the address bar. and then click setttings->configure view profiles... and make surethe url option is clicked.
