"Why can't I run Tomcat6-admin"
I have a username and a password and a role but I still recieved this error

You are not authorized to view this page. If you have not changed any configuration files, please examine the file conf/tomcat-users.xml in your installation. That file will contain the credentials to let you use this webapp.

You will need to add manager role to the config file listed above. For example:

<role rolename="manager"/>
<user username="tomcat" password="s3cret" roles="manager"/>

For more information - please see the Manager App HOW-TO.

I tried doing the How To and added the lines its saying

NOTE: By default, no user is included in the "manager" role required

to operate the "/manager" web application. If you wish to use this app,

you must define such a user - the username and password are arbitrary.

NOTE: The sample user and role entries below are wrapped in a comment

and thus are ignored when reading this file. Do not forget to remove

<!.. ..> that surrounds them.

<role rolename="tomcat"/>

<role rolename="role1"/>

<user username="tomcat" password="tomcat" roles="tomcat"/>

<user username="both" password="tomcat" roles="tomcat,role1"/>

<user username="role1" password="tomcat" roles="role1"/>

Here it is:

<user name="bobot" password="bobot!@#" roles="manager" />

I am new to Linux and I must have mess up my class path or something
is not right.

help is very much appreciated. :)
