As a search engine to what application? Something you created? What error are you getting?

At least try and provide information to help those in the know help you.

Since this was for linux newbies I thought you guys would know what Im talking about. Really sorry about that.

I am using Firefox. There are only a fixed amount of search engines there: Startpage, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, IXQuick and Amazon. When you click on more search engines, this shows up: http://www.linuxmint.com/searchengines.php

We can't read minds, Ajwad. There are thousands of Linux distros, many having different flavours (Gnome, KDE, Cinammon etc., for example), and hundreds of different browser programs, each with many different versions. It's usually best to give people a clue as to what you're using when you ask for help. :-)

In response to your problem, go to http://mycroftproject.com/dlstats.html, find "Disconnect" (it is near the top of the list), and click on it.

that is kind of like going into a shoe store and telling the sales man I want to buy a pair of shoes.

then he'll look around showing you all of the different kinds of shoes you have to pick from. such is linux apps.

Are you talking about the screen dim problem you talk about in your other thread, Ajwad? If so, you should post in that thread.

Did you see my answer above with the Mycroft Project link?

schneidz 02-19-2016 10:20 AM

this reminds me of that episode of dethklok where they are at the grocery store and he asks a random lady:
Quote:

does it have olives in it.
and shes like:
Quote:

in what ?
and he answers:
Quote:

lemon tarts, wrinkled t*ts
as if she was supposed to already know what was written down on his grocery list.

Ajwad 02-19-2016 10:36 AM
