Exclamation Why can't I Print ?!?!?!?!?!

I have RH9. Was able to print at one time. Now when I try to print from any application, nothing prints. Printer Mgr claims I have no printer now.

Is there a config file or something that will answer why I cannot print. I see people posting etc/whatever files all the there some file that will answer my questions?

Frustrated Newbie.

What type of printer is it?

Is CUPS installed, if so there is a simple way to set up printers. Go to http://localhost:631 and see if you can set it up. Though if you might need your root password so it might be a good idea to login to that page from a seperate browser profile. There will be a list of drivers to choose from, choose the one that corresponds best with your printer, if there are none, go on to and check which printer driver would be best to use with your printer. Once it's set up print a test page, if it works then well done.
