whit router can I by?


Hello,
I install a suse 9.1 and all works (I thik jeje) less the modem. I have a sagem 800. I am a very newbie and I thik is very dificult to install them.
I want to install a router, is more easy yes? what router can I by?
can you help me?

If you are talking about a hardware router, you can buy just about any of them and it will work fine. All you will need to do is configure the router, plug in the cables, and set your ip (unless you want DHCP) and other network info (subnet mask, gateway, and DNS).

Now if you want the linux box to be a router, you just need a couple of network cards and a little reading on iptables and masquerading.

a hardware home router? yes it's very very easy, pick any that you like, you will not have linux compataibility problems, it's just ethernet device to ethernet device. there are so so many out there that are perfectly capable, it seems daft to list model numbers.
