I gotta download a vido driver, and to know which to download, I need to know which version of XFree86 i have installed. I'm running Red Hat 9. Does anyone know how I can find this out?

Unless you manually updated it yourself, Redhat9 comes with Xfree86 4.3

I have some follow up questions (sorry I should've made sure of all of them before posting)

The documentation for the driver says this:
Make sure the following software is already installed on your system:

* glibc version 2.2 or 2.3
* XFree86 version 4.1.0, 4.2.0, or 4.3.0

dopefish's post works for testing XFree86, but the same thing won't work for glibc. Anyone know how to test what version of glibc i'm using? Also, how do I figure out what special file in /dev my mouse is using?

rpm -qa | grep -i glibc

PS2 mouse: /dev/psaux
USB mouse: /dev/input/mice
