Which process is using my SWAP ???


Hello all,
i'm running short of memory. Don't know which process is sucking so much of memory.
Is there any way of knowing that which process is using the swap and which one using the main memory ???

I believe the program you want to use is called top. man top for usage.

I think man lsof would help. There are a lot of options with lsof...you could try this one specifially.

Code:
lsof /dev/hdaX
Replace hdaX with your swap drive.

also you could try looking more into

iostat and vmstat with various options in these..
