Which Linux magazine?

Hi

Which Linux (or other, if it carries Linux info) magazine would you recommend for newbies? I've tried Linux Magazine (the UK one) and it seems fairly ok. Some of the other magazines that I've read seem to be mostly for the bearded gurus...

So what's your experience?

Cheers
Joe

I tend to read or pick up every once in a while Linux Magazine , you can check out their online site at www.linux-mag.com . They tend to be easy to understand most of the time and have a Newbies section too in each issue.

The UK PCPlus magazine has a small section for Linux users which is sometimes quite good. Be warned though, the rest of the magazine seems to be 100% 'Windows Is Ace' biased.

yeah, if i get any mag, it's pc plus dvd version (which is a bugger to track down round here). i remember the days when personal computer world was always at least an inch thick... shame....

the two linux magsa around in the uk, linux format and linux magazine are pretty lame in genreal i think, it's completely geared towards newbies, which is ok to an extent, but as they never reach more than 100 pages an issue i don't think so somehow. and everything is KDE this, KDE that, which is just plain annoying, and gives the impression that they're benig just about as restrictive abuot linux as most other mags are over PC's in general.

Have you ever noticed that the Linux-Format DVD always has the same 'complete-distro' as the PCPlus DVD? A little co-incidental me thinks considering there is about a week between publish dates.
