Hi everyone,

I've used linux before (Ubuntu Feisty) on my desktop, my experience as a newbie user was awesome.
Now I want to install linux on my old laptop HP Pavilion dv4-1275mx (4GB RAM / 400 GB / AMD Turion™ X2 Ultra ZM-80 / ATI RADEON HD 3200 RS780M)
I'm having a hard time to find out which distro is better for my laptop, and which one has the support that any newbie user needs.
Please help me.

PS: Yes, I'm going to use the computer as standard home computer, but also to manage a website using ftp software and other webmaster tools.

It's hard to recommend anything as you haven't given any information on what you plan to use it for. With the hardware you indicate, pretty much any Linux distro should work. You might google "Linux distro chooser". You should get some sites where you are asked a few questions and based upon your answer, they will give you several recommendations. If you are going to be using the computer as a standard home computer, pretty much any distro in the top 10 at distrowatch should do.

Based on your experince with ubuntu you should probably stick with it or try debian, linuxmint or 1 of the debian or ubuntu derivatives
