Which Linux Distro is this?

I was searching and seen some users post their screenshots on Quora.

Based on these 5 screenshots, which Linux Distro is it? In addition to Linux Distro, what is it they most likely had to install to be able to get these backgrounds for their desktop?

Based on the logo on the panel in the last image, it looks like Fedora.

IMHO, maybe the better question would be: ``What desktop environment/manager, themes, and eye candy are running on this Linux system?''

My guess is that pretty much any Linux distribution would be capable of being the source for those screenshots. I take it that the Quora posters didn't make mention of what they were running?

I recognize that wallpaper from when I was contracting with IBM. The Red Hat laptops they issued had that wallpaper available.

Compiz, definitely. Which isn't a distro, and I'm sure no distro comes preconfigured like that.
#3 suggests Mint, #5 suggests fedora.
I don't think all screenshots are from the same install.

"Linux Distro 3.png" is for Cinnamon Desktop Environment which can be found mainly on Linux Mint. It is also available on Debian. You can manually install it on Ubuntu; just google for it.

They are all different distros. The 3rd one is Linux Mint, the last one is Fedora, and as for the other ones, Who knows.

Bapun007 11-26-2019 03:54 AM

3rd one is Linux mint, From the wallpaper i am guessing that the 4th one is a old version Kubuntu(remember Kubuntu having that wallpaper by default), last one is fedora.
This is just my guess, Any Linux/BSD can be made to look like the screenshots.

1 & 4 are using Compiz, as others mentioned isn't distro specific, is eye-candy (and fun), 5 is Fedora. Any door prizes for correct guess? ;)
