which linux distribution virtualbox to download for arch based linux ?


Hi,

In case i don't like to get the virtualbox from arch depo,

Can someone tell me, What is the distribution of virtualbox iso for archlinux ?

Why there is download of iso for other distribution but always miss out arch ? Am i missing something here ?

Or is it arch is using same distro of a certain linux distro package ?

If you want another version then you'll need to build it yourself.

There is Fedora/RHEL/openSUS and Debian-based download, but not arch. why ?

IMHO...

All of the distributions on the download page are picked probably because they are widely used and have a point release model which means building a binary package would be easier. Since Arch is a rolling release any changes made to libraries and or the kernel that could easily break VirtualBox. I would think that would be a big task for Oracle.
