which GNU/Linux distro is best for the hp g62 64bit i5 intel core CPU.

Hello,
I am new to Linux and would to use it for embedded development.

I have a new hp g62 notebook pc with intel core i5 m469 @ 2.53 GHz, 64 bit operating system.

I wish to use GCC to develop for msp430's, arm7/9...

Which distro would work best for this hardware?

Thank you
Mark

It doesn't matter much for newer hardware like that. So, the one you are most familiar with. A recent one.

If you still want us to pick for you: Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit.
