Hello Frankbell thank you for your helpful suggestions.

Pete my husband sorted his pad out by tweaking the settings and managed to do a test print on our networked printer. So he is well ahead of me already. My main problem is the old laptop I am trying has so little room on it that everything is so slow I am not sure if I have pressed a key or not. To test it better I am going to try it on my XP desktop which is just as old but added to its memory so it has space to manoeuvre in. I will no doubt have more questions soon. But as I said the system seems excellent. I want to try to print and scan so I will try those next. But not today it is a bank holiday and the sun is shining - this is a very unusual occurrence so I shall go and enjoy the garden today.

Cheers Margaret

Enjoy your holiday.

As an aside, I must say, you are asking the right kinds of questions and asking them in a productive way.

It won't be long before you are answering questions.

That is very nice of you to say. I can answer questions on growing cabbages and spuds but I am not sure about technical stuff.

Best wishes Margaret
