What distro are you planning to install? Are the ISO files saved on a NTFS partition?

I have copied the disks to /dev/hda5/Linux/Disk 1
/dev/hda5/Linux/Disk 2
/dev/hda5/Linux/Disk 3
I selected /dev/hda5 and wrote Linux/Disk 1 in the directory but I recieved the message
the file system is FAT32

All of the ISO images should be in the same directory.
Try using /linux/disk

which folders on the CD's contains Iso images. are the Rmps Iso iamges?what is the extension of iso images ?

The extension of an ISO image is ISO. These are the files that contain the image of the CD as in fc2-i386-disc1.iso.

You still didn't specify which distribution you are installing.

I am installing Linux 9.
There is only one file in all the 3 cd's having .iso extension which is /Linux/Disk 1/images/boot.iso
I even selected the above directory during installation but it also didn't work.
