Which Core do I have?

Hi,
I just installed fedora 8, and I was wondering if there was some command or window that would tell me the details of the system I have running, including the core version.

install lshw. it will tell you about your system hardware..

lshw

dmidecode - similar to lshw but not as nicely formatted. lshw pulls information from dmidecode as well as other sources.

cat /etc/redhat-release - should give you the version of Fedora you are running

uname -a
is quite informative also

Depends what you mean by core. Fedora dropped the concept of Fedora Core after FC6

Alright, I'm a newb.
Upon further research, I have come to the conclusion that I have Fedora 8, and it is not known as a 'core'. Thank you for helping in this clarification :)
