Question Whether AODV allows to send a NEW control packet (like RREP) after E2E path establishment...???

Hi All!

I have implemented a new AODV packet in NS-2 and applied a timer on it.

My Goal is that:
Once the end-to-end path is established, then after each 0.5 sec interval, the newly developed packet is sent by Sink node on the reverse path to Source.

However, I am not successful in sending the packet to Source node because I am unable to correctly locate the previous hop of Sink node and so on.

Kindly suggest me that:

1. When I use aodv_rt_entry *rt = rtable.rt_lookup(source), then I get a Segmentation Fault ERROR.

2. When I use aodv_rt_entry *rt = rtable.rt_lookup(sink), then rt->rt_nexthop returns me the next-hop of the source node, however, I am interested in the previous hop of sink node.

3. Also kindly tell me that whether AODV maintains both REVERSE and FORWARD path entries together or OVERWRITES the forward path over the reverse path entry...???

Kindly can anyone suggest me in this regard...?

Thank you in advance...
