Unhappy where to get wine for redhat 9 and how to install

hi there i m new to the linux world. I have installed linux redhat 9. can someone please help me to find wine package for redhat. thanks in advance

I expect it will be in the main RedHat repositories. Load your software installer / package management program and search for it.

If you can't find it, or you want a version that is more up-to-date than the one supplied by Redhat, then visit the Wine website ( They have instructions for downloading and installing the latest version in all the major distributions, including Redhat.

Yeah you can use package manager to install wine but be aware that RH9 is way too old and that it has lost support since ages. You should be looking at a newer distribution so that you get to use new softwares and have no problems with the newer hardware as far as support and drivers is concerned. A newer Fedora or Ubuntu or OpenSuse will be much better. But there are lot of other distributions and you may want to take a look at them as well.
