Where to find .profile or .login?

I need to set some environment variables in the file .profile (or .login). Where can I find them?

you mean, like the /etc/profile?

or ones in the home dir, like ~/.bash_profile and ~/.bash_login?
If they're not there, you can always create them.

ya my vote is to drop the "." and just do /etc/profile
