Where is the Menu button/function etc, in Fedora/Ubuntu?

I am trying to do a Lab for my course, the instructions say go to Menu select System Tools --> Terminal. I can't find the Menu. Where is Menu located in Linux Distributions?

You'll need to learn to give more info when asking for help.
Presuming gnome3 in Fedora, if you see an "Activities" in the top left, run your mouse up there. Then click "Applications" - then look for the menu list on the right.

how to get to "Terminal" in UBUNTU

Hi there , I looked at my Ubuntu 12 vm that i run on my pc , and by clicking alt+f2 you can search for commands.
There you can look for "gnome-terminal" and there you go !

It might help if you indicated which release of Ubuntu/Fedora you have. On the newer Ubuntu releases, click on the Ubuntu logo in the upper left and you will get a search box. Type: terminal and hit the Enter key.

GNOME is one of several commonly used "desktop management" systems used by Linux distributions. It is the default system used by Fedora, and a modified version is, again, by default, used by Ubuntu.

And the B-A... stuff is just the message signature that user Syg00 has chosen to have appended to any post made by that user id. (Just like the fancy English words at the end of my post.")
