where is mozilla favourites files stored?

i wish to backup my favourite bookmarks from my mozilla, may i know the exact directory location of the favourites? thanks

backing up Moz bookmarks is easy


from the bar up top go.... Bookmarks> Manage Bookmarks

once there: Tools> Export

you can pick where it saves to and you can even view it as a webpage, if you want to restore your bookmarks at a later date it is the same process, just replace Export with Import.

They are stored in
~/.mozilla/default/qw3obgr4.slt/bookmarks.html

qw3obgr4.slt is dynamically created the first time mozilla is opened. So that directory on your system will have a different name.
