Question Where is gtk-conf in SuSE 8.1?

I've been trying to assemble all the stuff I'll need to get gnucash (1.8) working in SuSE 8.1 Personal. In trying to compile Guppi, I'm getting the error message that configure can't find gtk-conf or the gtk-executable. Now, I know gtk (both 1.2 and 2.0) are in there somewhere (in etc?), but I've done pretty extensive searches and can't find the gtk-conf file anywhere, either?

I'm guessing I'm making some terrifically stupid mistake, given that I don't see this issue anywhere else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Sean

gtk-config you mean? that's in the gtk-devel package for gtk1.2 it doesn't exist for gtk+2 though, it uses pkg-config instead

Thanks--that's exactly what I was looking for. But I'm also wondering--has anyone else out there undertaken the nightmarish task of installing gnucash on suse8.1?
