You just need to register your system to RHN (RedHat network) and then run the yum command.

you register your system with red hat
pay for the support contract
and use "yum"
Code:

su -
yum update
---- or for example -----
yum search firefox

If you don't want to pay Red Hat, you get CentOS, which is virtually identical. Either way, you then install using the menu entry System — Administration — Add/remove software.
