where do rpm packages install to?
hello all newbie here...
im currently using centos i got a usenet downloader it came in an rpm package but i cant seem to find it any where where do the rpm packages get installed to?

If you already installed the package list the contents with 'rpm -ql packagename', if you didn't then use 'rpm -qpl /path/to/packagefilename'. If the name of the executable is similar to the name of the package you could try 'which name'. If (s)locate cronjob already ran you could try 'locale name'. Also see 'apropos', 'whatis', 'whereis'.
