Where do I find my Address Book and stored emails in Ubuntu 9.04

I have just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.4 and I need to get my Address Book and saved emails from earlier version.
Can someone please tell me where they will be located

I am assuming that you use Evolution, if so check this out:
http://live.gnome.org/Evolution/FAQ#...ore_my_data.3F

If you use some other mailing client, search Google with following keywords:
Quote:
<mailing client name> FAQ
Replace the <mailing client name> with the name of the mailing client you use.
and then look for example "Where does <mailing client name> store my data" kind of title in the FAQ.

Thanks Anisha, I think I did not word my question very well.
I am using Mozilla Thunderbird. Trying to rescue my address book etc from Ubuntu 9.04 so I can move it to the newly installed Ubuntu 10.04.
The Google search didn't help.
I'll keep reading the mail

Thanks to all for input.
I have found the Address book in 9.04 in .mozilla-thunderbird/cwr8kt8i.default/abook.mab and have transferred it to Ubuntu 10.04 but I still cannot find the "Saved emails" in 9.04
I would expect it to be in a similar location but can't find it.

Why don't you backup and restore the whole directory?

The short answer to that is I lack the confidence to do that,
if I do things in small bites bites I can only make small screw ups!
Thanks again for all input.
Job now done and thread will be closed.
