Where can I set power management in LXLE
I'm trying to stop power management in Latest LXLE. I have tried to follow script advice from help pages, but don't know coding yet. Is there a simple GUI program I can use to stop the monitor from shutting off, and the screen lock requiring a password.
I am also having to logout from LQ numerous attempts before it completes, and sometimes I am still logged in next time I boot and go to the login page. |
I installed xfce4-power-manager using Synaptic Package Manager, and under the control menu/settings there was a new entry, power manager, not 'Power Management'. ran the program and got a lovely GUI to control all my power settings... should have made that one a default install I think., so easy for newbies like myself.

With the logout problem I noticed only when I click ' Return to forums ' link, does it logout properly... if that helps.

Hi clifftec,
Seems as if you've solved the power management problem with your own efforts. Great job! :) Is this a question about the LQ forums? Quote:

yeh I should be more specific... when I logout from the LQ site, the page returns with my login details still 'logged in' each time, and only when I click the 'Go to forums Index' link, does the page return with blanks in the login box.

correct.... further, after the first 'are you sure you want to log out' dialog box, and I click 'ok', the next window comes back as the original sign-in page, though the 'log-out' option is still present in the field, instead of clearing the field and replacing with 'log-in' word. Think I might have logged out, because whatever link I click after that, returns with the field having 'User Name' text again, in the text box.

thankyou guys you have fixed my LQ logout problem, works great now...

does however still takes two logout attempts to complete??
