Where can I find a good help page on directories?

I don't know what's supposed to go in the various Linux directories. Does anyone know of a good web page that has a list like:

/home is for users
/root is for the root user

That'd sure help.

Try a search with "linux filesystem". I know I answered a question identical to this one and I came up with many pages on google or you can even search here. It had to been in the last few days I answered and left two good links to pages.
